The past few days have been pretty chill and low key. I wish I had something more exciting to blog about, but nope! I ended up staying home from work on friday. I woke up around 5 throwing up and feeling so sick. I was finally able to go back to sleep around 8:30 and when I woke up around 10:30 I felt better! It was really weird. I have several kids in my class with the stomach but so I thought that's what I might have had, but it was so short, I don't think so. I am just happy not to be sick!
Since I wasn't feeling up to much friday, I laid around on the couch and Mitch was a sweet husband and took care of me. He brought me my favorite snacks and we decided to start a new series on Netflix. We started Scandal and we are hooked!
Saturday we went to the gym, got smoothies and spent the day out running around. We had several things we had to get done and we ended the day with a movie! We saw Lone Survivor and I don't really know how to describe this movie. It was a good movie, but so hard to watch. It was so real and not the happy ending most movies have, but also very eye opening. Even though I know our service men and women make sacrifices, this really put it into perspective. I guess I would recommend it, but just be prepared! Mitch loved it!
After the movie we went and ate with Katie and Tommy then over to some friends house to play games.
Sunday was absolutely beautiful!! This weather is making me crazy. These random 70 degree days are making me want spring to get here, and fast!! After church, we went out to eat with some of our sunday school friends. We are all going skiing together over spring break, so we did some planning over lunch.
That afternoon, we spent all day outside. We played with Bella and went on a walk on Riverside. It was so nice and I just can't get enough of this weather. That night we stayed in and watched football.
Since I had today off and Mitch worked, I went to the gym, made lunch and met my good friend Tayler on Riverside for another walk. We stayed out there all afternoon and it was so refreshing. She is one of my best friends and I just love our talks. She is getting married this June and so we had lots of wedding talk! We are both finally back in Tulsa (I was in AR for 2 years, then she went to school) so we are enjoying hanging out lots more!
Although I'm ashamed to say it- or actually i'm really not ha-- tonight it Bachelor night!!! The girls in my sunday school always get together and have a watch party every week. I seriously look forward to this all weekend! I love love love my time with Mitch, but it is important to have girl time. The girls are the real deal and I couldn't ask for better "new" friends as we transferred and moved back to Tulsa. We always get a good kick out of the bachelor, but our fellowship time is just wonderful!!
I am only working a few days this week and I took off to go to Wichita with Mitch for his interview. Friday morning we are going to the gym, out for breakfast and then off to Wichita! I am trying not to be nervous about this next step. There are many pros and cons to this program- but I think I am just ready to see whats our next step. Please say a prayer for Mitch as he has his interview friday!

Christmas Break 2013
This post is way overdue. I have been working on it for a while now and just can't seem to finish it ha. I wish I could say that was because we have just too many fun things to share, but thats not the case. I just can't seem to find time to blog much anymore. I really really really want to keep my blog- mainly for me, but I just love the idea of it. But anyway, I had my last of work the 19th and didn't go back until the 7th. We were suppose to go back the 6th but we had another snow day! I am going to show you our break in pictures- I think that will be the easiest. I apologize if you have seen all of these. If you follow me on Instagram you probably have. I think Instagram is the reason I have slacked on blogging. I feel like I share my life and pics so much on there- I don't need to blog. But yes, I am going to try and blog more this year.
Right before break started we went to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra with some friends in our ss class. If you haven't see it- I highly recommend it. Seriously so good!
We had a great break- I really enjoyed that Mitch was off a lot of it with me. It always makes long breaks more enjoyable. This break was so different from last year. Last year, I was ready to go back and bored out of my mind. This break I kept myself busy and was def not ready for break to end. I was excited to get back and see my kids, but it was so refreshing to have that time off. Next week we have monday off for MLK day and then I took and Friday off, so I have a 3 day week!
One other exciting thing over break was this...
On our last day of class- it snowed like crazy, but we also got lots of ice. I love that we live in an area where we don't get snow all the time, but I do like a good snow now and then.
Once again- I was spoiled by my kids. I had to make several trips to my car to fit all of this. Lets just say, I am covered on sonic, starbucks and movie cards ha!
I got out of school and had a day to get everything ready and then we went to spend several days in Bentonville. We had a great time and loved getting to spend an extended time there.
One of our Christmas traditions Mitch and I have made is to get Starbucks and drive all around to at lights.
On Christmas day, we headed back to Tulsa to spend Christmas with my family. We spent all day at my grandmas and then back to my parents house. Even though our families are not in the same city, I love that we are close enough to see them all on Christmas!
One of my best friends got engaged over the break, so I was able to travel to OKC to spend some time with her and go wedding dress shopping!
Even thought it was cold most of break, we did have a few days that were warm and it made me so ready for spring! I am over this cold, snow and ice and need sunshine! So, I was able to test out my new running shoes!
On New Years Eve we have a tradition of going to PF Changs. We laugh because we have no idea where this started or why, but every since we started dating thats where we go- so we thought it would be a fun tradition to keep alive, and we went to PF Changs for New Years Eve. We just came home after since Mitch had to work in the morning, but it is so much better then him being on nights!
On my last weekend of break, we went to Dallas to spent time with my good friend Elizabeth and her husband, Kevin. We started out the trip by going to Top Golf and oh my goodness- best place ever! We had never been, but had been trying to go for over a year now. Every time we had it scheduled something came up. So we finally went and it was literally so much fun!! It is cheap and we spent all day there. We will never go to Dallas and not do TopGolf again!
We also did some shopping and went to see Frozen. Oh my it was amazing! I have been begging Mitch to see it again! Also- I knew all the music before since I bought the soundtrack- but it is so good!! Yes, I am almost 26 and I listen to it all the time!!
When we were in Dallas it was sunny and almost 80 degrees. Now I do like that Tulsa has seasons and Dallas has a very short winter- but i did love coming from the cold and I enjoyed that sunny, warm day! As much as I don't like cold- I honestly think I would miss it a little. You rarely get a good winter in Dallas. But now I am ready for warm weather! I was in flip flops- in January. I was in shock and Elizabeth was laughing at me the whole time because it is nothing new to her :)
When we came home- we were back to reality and were welcomed back with more snow!
One other exciting thing over break was this...
If you can't read this- Mitch got an interview for CRNA school in Wichita. We are very excited for this opportunity and we are just praying for what is best. It this is where he ends up going, we have LOTS of questions and decisions that have to be made very fast. We should know something by mid February. It will be a weight lifted off both our shoulders if he gets in, but then we have so many other big things to get figured out. I know I have talked about it before, but CRNA school is soooo competitive! Over 150 have interviews and they take 20, so we know if this is what God has called him to do- it will all work out!
Hope y'all have a great week!!
