Bedlam 10k and more...

This past Saturday I ran in the Bedlam run. It was a 10k and lets just say I was not prepared for it ha! I was doing really well with running long distances about 2 times a week until about 3 weeks ago when all the moving took place. I have always been a pretty good runner, so I wasn't too worried about the race coming up. I had not run more than 3 miles in about a month and the Wednesday before the race I freaked out and so I went on a run, but it was short because of the heat. So when Saturday came I was regretting my decision to run 6.5 miles without training ha! I think it was a combination of that and how hot it was, but I did make it through without stopping!

I knew I would be able to make it, I just also knew without  training it wasn't going to be as easy as I wanted it to be. But it was a blast and I really enjoyed it! The heat was crazy, people were literally dumping water all over them at every water station.

Once I got going and found a good pace I was able to enjoy it. But it did make me realize how much I need to train for my longer upcoming races. I don't think it would be a smart idea not train again and just run them. I was so sore the next few days and I'm sure that also came with me not training. It was good to know I could just pick up without running for month and do that long of a distance, but my body was definitely hurting when I was done.

I am really looking forward to these next few races I have coming up and I am thinking about joining a running program here in Tulsa to help me train. I have never been good at training, for the exact reason of what happened Saturday. I know in my mind I can run almost any distance without training, it is just super hard and I go slower than I want. The fact that I know I can do it without training seems to keep me from training. So I am hoping joining this training group will help me and at least make me train 2-3 times a week!

On a different note... I took Bella to the groomer at 7:45 this morning and she still isn't finished ha! We got her shaved again, even though she looks very silly, but this 112 degree heat we are having EVERY day she needs it. She never wants to go outside anymore. So I am very anxious to go pick her up and see what she looks like. We always used PetsMart in Bentonville, and they always seemed to mess up or make me mad, so I tried a little local place in downtown Jenks called  U Dirty Dawg and they seemed so nice! The groomer spend out 10 min with me getting to know Bella and making sure she knew exactly what I wanted for her. I think Bella will like it a lot better. I'll be sure to post pics of her soon. I'm sure y'all with get a good laugh when you see her!

They have a self serve dog wash- where you can go in and bath your dog yourself. Such a cool idea!

Its so big and clean. I would def. recommend this place.

Since she has been at the groomer all morning, that freed me up to do some shopping. I hit the jackpot with cute razorback stuff. I have accumulated lots of AR stuff over the past 2 years of living in AR working for the U of A, and yes I am going to admit it- have become a dedicated Hogs fan.  I just love that Tulsa store are starting to sell so much AR stuff now! Here are a few things I picked up today..

CUTE AR Game Day dress! I just love it!! It will go perfect with my new Razorback jewelry! They had them for all different teams, but I love my hogs, and not to mention red is my favorite color :)

Stretchy headband. I am currently obsessed with these. They look cute with your hair down, but I love wearing mine when I workout and lay by the pool!

New Coffee Mug. If y'all know me, I don't ever go without my coffee in the morning.
I got a few other things, but these were my favorite! I am trying to find lots of cute Razorback house decor. We are going all out and doing our office Razorback themed. Since we had our office in our old house decorated with Hogs stuff, we have some stuff to get us started, but the more AR stuff the better :)

Hope y'all have a wonderful week!!

Lately...

So I promised I would be better at blogging... I have failed ha! You would think without a job I could find time and well I just haven't made time this past week. I can't really say we have been super busy, but just not having much to do has been nice.

This past week was our first official week as Tulsa residents and it has been great! I just love it here and  am so glad to be back! Monday and Tuesday I was able to hang out with my good friend natalie. I just love having friends close by.
During the days, since Mitch is at work, I pretty much have the house to myself and it has been very relaxing. I have got all unpack and I catch up on all our laundry during day and then most of the time just do whatever. It is soooo hot here, so I avoid going outside at all costs (unless I am getting in the pool). I love summer time and hot weather, but when the high is 112 and we are setting record breaking lows in the90's it's a little ridiculous.

Wednesday night, Mitch and I went and got ice cream with Katie and Tommy and ended back up at their appt with Shannon and Drew. It is still such a weird feeling that when we leave for the night it is not going to be a month before we are going to see them again. I just love having them all so close! We hung out again friday. I think I am going to get use to this :)

The rest of the week has consisted of mani's and pedi's with my mom, laying out, hair appts, swimming, bbq and shopping! It actually feels like summer ha! Saturday Mitch and I had a lot of not fun errands to get done. We have been meaning to get new tires on my car for about a month now and I needed an oil change. So we took care of all that and decided to make a shopping trip to Sam's. We love going to Sam's- it is so nice to buy in bulk and their fruit and meat are the best there! Not to mention it was sample day :)

Thats about all we have going on. It is so nice not to have a zillion things to do and think about.  We are enjoying this time and counting down the days until we can close on our house! I am sooo ready to start with the remodeling!

Hope y'all have a good week!

We're here!

Hey y'all! I know it has been awhile, but we are here in Tulsa!! It feels so good to be back. Sorry I have been slacking on blogging, but I am hoping to get back on track. We were really busy last weekend and then trying to get moved the past two days has been hectic, but here is a little about what we've been up to!

Well, as I mentioned last week, we were staying at Mitch's grandparents house in downtown Bentonville which was a lot of fun. Although trying to pack for three different places is not. I felt like when I initially started backing up our house I was doing a fairly good job of packing the stuff I would need for that 10 days at his grandparents and then what I would need for a month at my parents, then put everything else up in boxes that I wouldn't need until we move into our house. Well I soon figured out I didn't do a very good job. I felt like all last week, I was constantly hunting for something and could never find it. I am doing a little better now that we are moved into my parents, but still feel kind lost.

I did end up packing my running shoes and I wasn't about to go a few weeks without any workout shoes, so I went to Academy at the beginning of last week and got some just to get me through. They didn't have the ones I get made for my feet, so I knew they would not be as comfortable. I have lots of feet issues (thats a whole other story in itself), so I knew anything I bought wasn't going to be the best for my feet, so I went more for style ha :) I ended up with these and love them!

They were even on sale and I probably couldn't run long distance in them, but they got me through a week and I can just use them as everyday tennis shoes now.

Last weekend was our last weekend living in Bentonville, so we did some of our favorite things. We spend a few days at the pool and Friday we went on a date. We went to Crystal Bridges to see the Declaration of Independence, which was awesome!

If your in the area go see it while it is still there. It is such an cool thing to say I have seen. Then we headed to the movies. We went and saw The Dark Knight Rises and it was incredible! I am not into movies like that at all, so honestly I wasn't really looking forward to it. Mitch had a gift certificate and has been talking about this movie forever, so I figured I would go with him and by not seeing any of the other bat mans, I didn't feel lost at all. The movie kept my attention and we highly recommend it!

Saturday I went with Michelle and some of her friends to eat breakfast upon the square at The Station Cafe. It is one of Mitch and I's favorite places! Their breakfast is so good!! The farmers market was going on but it was 10x more crowded than normal. We soon figured out it was Wal-Marts 50 birthday so there was lots more stuff going on. We walked around, got free watermelon and listened to a concert by Kris Allen! They also had two speakers, Kirk Herbstreit from ESPN and Mark Zuckerberg.

The rest of my Saturday was spent at the pool and then that night we had a baby shower for one of our friends. She is having twins, a boy and a girl!

Michelle and I at the shower

The desserts turned out so cute!

Sunday we went to church and out to lunch at Freds. You can't beat their Sunday brunch! It is delicious!! Then we packed up and headed to Tulsa! It felt so weird making that drive and knowing we weren't going to make it back in a few days. It was a little sad to leave Bentonville, I know we will miss certain things from it, but Tulsa is no doubt where we are called to be right now. It has better job opportunities for both of us and its so nice to be back where all our close friends are!

Mitch started his job yesterday and he is just sitting through orientation classes for the next week. I will update more on that when he actually gets on the floor. Natalie came over and helped me unpack and then we made a little shopping trip. I save up my money all year to go shopping before our vacations, and since it is right around the corner I ended up buying some new clothes! There is this little store in downtown Jenks and it may be my favorite store! They have the cutest clothes! I am actually going back today because they got a new shipment in this morning :)

These next few days I am going to be doing some stuff for my new job and hopefully continue to get all unpacked. I am going to try and not abandon my blog again for so long. Hope y'all have a wonderful week!

Moving out/last week in B'ville!

Hi y'all!!! Yes I know it has been forever since I have blogged. We have had so much going on this past week/weekend I haven't even been able to think about it. Plus we don't have internet anymore. So I have to go somewhere to blog, and quite frankly that is the last thing on my mind right now! But today, Mitch was off work and he had to come over to his parents to get a couple hours of studying in, and since the only 2 channels we get at the house we are staying at are getting very old, I figured I would come join him today and blog! I am getting real tired of Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown. I don't know if I can watch another episode! So here's a little about what's going on with us!

We moved out of our house Thursday night and Friday morning. We technically didn't have to be out until around 12 on Friday, but with everything we had going on we tried to have almost everything packed up and in the U-Haul Thursday night. Thanks so much to Caleb, we would have never come close to doing that. We stayed up really late thursday trying to get it loaded, I had to go to work for about 3 hours Friday morning, but Mitch got up at 6am and finished loading. They were completely done by the time I got home around 11:30.

Our house all empty!

It was so crazy to see it like that. I couldn't believe it has been 3 years since we purchased the house and have done so much work on it. As sad as it was so see and leave like that, we have so many new and exciting things to come, and we are so blessed to have sold it so quick!

Our last picture as a family in our house!

So Friday at 2:00, Mitch and I closed on the house and drove the U-Haul to Tulsa. We have a storage unit in Jenks and we unloaded everything in it and some into my parents garage. It was a long and tiring day, but when all that was finished, it was like we could just sit back and relax. Mitch only has 2 more days of work and I am finished with work, so it has been so nice to literally do nothing!

After we unloaded the u-haul in Tulsa, we went to my parents house to swim and have dinner, then headed back to Bentonville that night. It was hard to believe that was the last time we were going to be in Tulsa just visiting. Next time we will be Tulsa residents!! Yay!

So Saturday, Mitch worked all day and I did nothing but organize the house a little and lay on the couch. Ha! We are only staying in the house for a total of 10 days, so we didn't want to completely unpack, but we did have to get some things organized so we could function. We are really lucky, Mitch's grandparents have a house right in downtown, just off the square and they have completely remodeled it and they stay there when they come into town to visit. They also let lots of our friends/family stay in it whenever someone needs a place to stay.

Our house through next Sunday! So cute!
I just love being right off the square! It is so fun and since Bella and I are always up there anyway, now we can just walk out the front door and be there! Its so fun. Yesterday we walked to the square and then to the CB trails.

Sunday Mitch was on call and he got called in from 11-2 so that wasn't so bad. I was so thankful he was able to sleep in some, because I have never seen him so tired. I think we are both just now catching up on all our lost sleep and with how busy we have been. Sunday night, Mitch's parents had us over along with some other friends for a big cookout. They made steaks and green bean casserole... my favorite! It was so nice to have a home cooked meal. With all of our moving stuff, I haven't cooked in about 3 weeks. And Mitch's mom made homemade strawberry ice cream. Yum!

Monday Mitch worked, and Bella and I spent a lot of time outside, CB trails and the dog park.

Last time we went to the dog park, she laid under this the whole time and wouldn't leave the shade. It has just gotten way to hot!

Last night was the first night I was able to cook and so I made something I found off pinterest and it was.. okay. I do have to admit, we didn't have the correct pan or any measuring cups, so I think that may have been some of the problem. It was honey garlic pork chops, which sounded amazing, but I think I overdid it on the honey. Hopefully next time I will have my measuring cups back :)

Tonight after Mitch gets done studying, we are going to take Bella to the dog park and go eat at one of our favorite places up on the square, Flying Fish! I told Mitch before we move, even though we won't really be that far away, we need to eat at our favorite places, so flying fish along with Freds and Copelands are on the list. We had Marketplace last weekend and Flying Fish tonight- so that takes care of two! I think even though we can come back and eat at those anytime we want- just doing it for the last time as Bentonville residents will be fun.

The rest of the week we are... yes you guessed it.. doing nothing ha! Mitch's parents neighbors have a pool and offered for us to come use it all week while they are on vacation, so we might utilize that a few times. Also Friday, Mitch and I are having a date night (well I guess date day ha). We are going to lunch, crystal bridges (yes again.. they have a copy of the Declaration of Independence and I really want to see it) and then to see the new batman movie. So that should be fun.. I am really looking forward to it!

I most likely won't blog much here in the next week since we don't have internet access and this weekend Will and Michelle will be here, so if I don't get around to it- my next post will be coming from Oklahoma! Have a great week!

Last night at 204 Lyndal Lane

Well the past two days have been bitter sweet. Last night was our last night in our house it was pretty sad. We were so busy and up way to late packing the u-haul, I didn't really have time to dwell on it, but this morning I woke up and was really sad when I realized when I leave for work, that wll be the last time I will be in our house and at 2:00 today we are no longer the owners of 204 Lyndal Lane.

It was HUGE and yes we are struggling to fit everything ha!

I am so so so excited about our new journey and moving to Tulsa, but it is always hard leaving something behind with so many good memories. I know without a doubt this is what we are suppose to be doing, and I can't wait to be settled in Tulsa, but Bentonville has become my home and I think I will always think of it like that! I am sure we will be back a lot. I already have multiple things I am coming back for just in the next month. I am so glad we are close enough to not just leave it for good, but that we can still come back anytime, even just for a day, and enjoy our favorite things about NWA.

This morning before I left, I was looking at the house and I was reminding myself, this house is just a building, our home is where we are together. We have had so many wonderful memories in this house, I mean it was our very first house together. I still remember moving in on the fourth of july right when we got back from our honeymoon. It was such an exciting time, but we knew all along we would not be there for long. I think this house will always be the hardest to leave since it was where we started out. We both got our first jobs in this house, our first dog, had our first holidays together as a family in this house and I could go on and on with a list of "first's" that come along with this house. We also completely re-modeled this house, so we picked out everything from paint colors to counter tops and backsplash. I feel like we are leaving a piece of us here and I think that is another reason it is so hard. We chose everything about how this house was done and now we are leaving it.

I could not have asked for a better place to begin our lives together as a family, but Tulsa is where my heart is and I have always dreamed of raising my family in Tulsa. As much as I love NWA, and wouldn't change my last 2 years here for anything, it is a lot different than Tulsa and I am just an Oklahoma girl. I loved getting the experience living there and have truly come to love it, but when it comes down to it, there isn't anywhere I would rather be than Tulsa, especially when it comes time to start a family. We are going to be surrounded by our closest friends and that in itself will be worth it! Having a strong community and support system, we have found out is one of the most important things.

We have been so blessed by many people in NWA and we will always have a very special place in our hearts for Bentonville. But it is time to start a new chapter in our lives and next week we are offically Tulsa bound! I cannot wait to get there and for Mitch and I to start a new journey in Tulsa, OK :)

New house and new job!

Happy Wednesday Y'all!

Today is going to be a long day. Mitch was in Tulsa last night, becasue he had to be at St. Francis for  his benefits stuff this morning at 8, so that left Bella and I all alone last night. I really don't like staying home by myself but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I guess I am going to have to get use to it sinceMitch will be working nights. I usually don't sleep well when I am alone, but last night I took two benadryl and I was out. I usually only take 1 and it knocks me out all night, but since I knew I was not going to be sleeping well, I went ahead and took two, so needless to say, I am a little tired today! Ha!

On a different subject... We have some exciting news to share. When we decided we were going to go all in and make this big change, there were four things we needed to have done and we honestly never dreamed we would have them done. We needed to sell our house, Mitch find a job, I needed to find a job and we needed to buy a house. You couldn't of paid us to believe we would have all those things done before we moved. Especially since it was all in a little over a months time period. It is such a blessing and so nice to have that reassuance from God that we are doing the right thing.

So our first piece of news is that we have a house! I had mentioned about a week ago we found a house we both fell in love with, but since it ws a forclosure, we had to make a bid along with several others and we found out last monday we got it! We were so excited. Being a forclosure makes things a little more difficult,  And usually with forclosures, you have to do a lot of work, but this one only needs new carpet and paint (which secretly I love becasue I think paint makes your house unique to you and theres nothing better then fresh carpet). There have been and usually are some difficulties with buying a fourclosure home. I think we are about done with that stage.. thank goodness!
So now we are waiting until closing and then we can start with the painting and carpet! This is the fun part- picking out paint colors :)

Our other piece of good news is I offically accpeted a job yesterday!! Like I said earlier, it was the last of the four major things we wanted to have done in order to make this move sucessful. I was stressing so much becasue I hadn't heard anything in a long time and the main reason we were moving in the first place was for me to start on my teaching certificate and this job was the first step to that process. If I wasn't able to find a job, it would have put me back a whole year. So.. I am going to be working at Jenks West Elem. in pre-k! I could not be happier! I applied to about 7 schools and this was by far my top choice! It has a great reputation as a school and it only about 5 min from our new house! I can not wait until school starts and I love that I am going to be working one on one with a teacher. I know nothing about having my own classroom and I am so lucky to have someone show me the ins and outs of it all! My last day of work at the U of A is Friday and then I will have a four week break and start the week of August 13th!!

So we have been busy with all this going on, but we keep telling ourselves.. it is better to have this problem than to have not sold our house, or not have jobs! Our last night in our house is Thursday and is is bitter sweet. It was our first house together, but we are both super excited about this next chapter in our lives. I thought I would be more sad than I am, but honestly, I am just so ready to be back in Oklahoma!!! I know we will always consider Bentonville our home,it just wasn't where we wanted to be long term.

Hope y'all have a good rest of ther week!

Youth Camp 2012

We're back!! We had such an amazing time last week at camp! I can't even begin to describe to you how amazing it was! I have grown up my whole life going to multiple church camps a summer and this one is up at the top. Even though I was a counselor and not technically a camper, God still did some pretty amazing things in my life. I could go on and on about how much fun we had.. how awesome our theme nights were, how amazing the lazy river was and so much more, but watching God work in the lives of students and adults was incredible. I had many experiences this week of my own and how God revealed himself to me, but I thought I would share this specific story since it goes along with what I have been blogging about lately.  I thought this would be more bennifical than going through every day (even though I would love to share about our days and how awesome they were).

So, Monday we got to camp late in the afternoon, had to go straight to a swim test for the kids and then to oreintation. We got little to no time to unpack and get our bunks set up (which by the way were awesome). We went straight to dinner to service to small groups to late night and needless to say I was exhasted. I wasn't taking into consideration most days will not be that hectic and busy, we were about 1 hour late on everything that day and so I was always stressing out. And not to mention everything we had going on at home was still on my mind. So by Monday night about 11:30 (we still had not done late night, which takes several hours), I was almost in tears. I think it was just because how tired I had been and all the stuff we had going on back home. I could tell you the multiple stories of our house, our new house, jobs and packing.. everything seemed to be going wrong. I remember Monday night I told Mitch I wish I could go home and I just didnt think I had the strength to make it through the week.. He kept reassuring me that I was just overly tired and tomorrow will be better. So that night, I skipped late night and all I could do was pray and pray that I would have a change of heart and that God would provide me with strength to get through the week. (I was not use to going to bed around 3 and getting up at 7 everyday).

Tuesday when I woke up I felt like a new person! I wasn't tired at all, and my desire to be there and love on my group of  10th grade girls was so strong! I was so thankful and I know 100% the Lord gave me that strength. And that was how it was the rest of the week. I was able to develop so many new friendships, and just enjoy my time there. Everyday that passed was better than the first and I soon found myself dreading leaving. I had literally the BEST group of girls. The were so awesome and I just hope I was able to bless then as much as they blessed me. Spending a whole week living with girls, you are able to really bond and get to know each other. And there isn't a day that goes by that I'm not thanking the Lord for bringing them into my life.

Even though I was having the best time, I was still thinking about stuff at home. I knew I needed to let it go and not focus on it that week, but it was so hard to actually do. I am going to back up a little bit on my story... On the bus ride down to camp I recieved a call from the school I really want to work at in Jenks and they wanted me to come in for an interview, but the only time they were holding the interviews was that Thursday. I told them I was going to be out of state helping at a camp and they pretty much just said in a nice way, that if I couldnt make it, they were not going to reschedule the interview for the following week. Well most of you know I haven't had any leads on jobs at all and that being my first job to hear anything from and I had to turn it down killed me. So all week I was dwelling on that. I knew I needed to trust the Lord and know that he had a reason for me being at camp, but even knowing that I just couldn't let go of that.

Well all week I was able to talk a lot with one of my girls who wasn't saved and on Wednesday night she came to me and I was able to lead her to Christ. It was the highlight of my week. I was able to see her completely broken and the Lord chose to use me to help her. I am still in awe of this. Well you would think after that it would have clicked that God really did have me at this camp for a reason, and even though I knew that in the back of my mind, I was still thinking about how frusterated I was that I missed the interview. I just couldn't let it go.

So we had a great rest of the week- looking back I wouldn't trade that week for anything. I learned so much myself and loved spending time with my girls!! Monday (yesterday) was my first day back at work and you would think it wouldn't of taken me this long to put everything together (I knew it all along, but I wasn't wanting to believe it). But I was sitting at my desk and I just randomly had a thought... I started thinking about that job interview and then I realized, my purpose on this earth is not to become a teacher (it may be part of His plan, but not my sole purpose), but instead to be a light for others and spread the word of Christ and thats just what I was able to do at camp. This is all stuff I have always known, but it was like I was finally (and willingly) giving it all to God and I understood what happened at camp is my purpose, not trying to find a job. I literally almost started crying ha! I am so thankful I quit being so concerened about my job and had a complete change of heart. I felt free and I was 100% confident God had me there, He knew I was going to miss the interveiw, and he had plans for me if I would just trust him. Once all that "hit" me, I didn't even have the desire to worry anymore about my job, I just trusted things were going to work out. It was the best feeling!

Well, it wasn't one hour later and I had not one, but TWO job interviews set up for later that day at the same school I wanted!! God is good and it is amazing to watch what happens when you completly give your worries over to him and trust that He knows what He's doing :)

I know that may be a lot to share with y'all, but it was on my heart and I figured why not share about the amazing things God is doing! I think I should do that more often. But anyways, I drove to Tulsa yesterday (trip #2 out of 4 this week, yes moving is crazy stressful), and the interviews went well. I am hoping to hear back by the end of this week! I will hopefully get around to posting some pictures from camp soon. Mitch and I were both so blessed this past week and we were asked to go back next year and it wasn't even a hesitation- its already marked on our calendars! I can't wait!

Packing and the LPGA!

So this weekend has been super busy! We have been packing a ton... we packed (and unpacked) Mitch's dad's new store in Rogers, continued packing up our house and packed for camp! Yes, that is a lot of packing. I think I will be okay if I don't have to pack for anything else anytime soon!

Our weekend started Friday- I had to work  a half day and Mitch was off so he did lots of packing up our house- mainly our office. My dad and brother came over for lunch (I was bummed I didn't get to go because I was still at work), but they ate at The Station Cafe up on the square. My dad is obsessed with that place. He has to go there every time he comes to visit. But want they come over and brought a truck and they all spent the afternoon loading up boxes and whatever else they could fit. By the time I got home they were about finished, so I was only able to see them for a little bit.

Our house is getting so empty :(
That evening, we literally spent all night packing more. It was insane! I think we are making lots of progress though. Saturday morning, Mitch got up early and went to help his dad move his store. For those of you who don't know, he owns an Apple store called Megabyte and it was located in Fayetteville and they bought a really nice office space and relocated in to the Pinnacle area in Rogers. So Mitch went to Fayetteville early and I slept in. They said they wouldn't need me for all that loading up. So when I got up I went to Old Navy, they had their $1 flip flop sale and I always like to go and stock up for Mitch and I for the summer. I may have found some clothes I liked too :) In my defense, they were having pretty good sales! On my way home I was craving an iced coffee and I had just ran out of coffee at home, so I decided I would try a McDonald's iced coffee. I don't usually buy them, i have gotten to were I love to make them at home, but I had a friend tell me they were really good, and I knew they had to be cheaper than Starbucks, so I thought I would give them a try.

And the verdict.. it was delicious!!! I got a hazelnut flavor coffee and it was so good. I got a small and  it was about 2 times bigger and 2 times cheaper than Starbucks. I will definitely be going back for more of those!

I spent the morning packing for camp. It was a nice break from packing the house up, but still not my favorite thing. We leave for camp tomorrow morning with our church and I am so excited. I got about half way packed by lunch time, or you could say I had some stuff laid out by lunch time ha!

For lunch I went up to the new store and helped a little then Mitch's grandparents were in town from Memphis and they brought Juniors BBQ! This is hands down the best bbq you will ever eat! They took be there one of the first times we went to Memphis and I was afraid to go in ha! It is this little of shack on the side of the road and you are immediately very skeptical. But it is just this little ol' bbq place and boy is it good!!! So his grandparents brought it all the way from memphis and served it too all of us up there helping.

That afternoon, Mitch and I spent about 3 hours running errands trying to find last minute things for camp. They have theme nights every night and we were struggling trying to find our outfits. But don't worry- we came up with something :)

Today we went to church, had a meeting for camp and went to lunch at Maria's. It was a long morning, but we finally made it out to the LPGA by about 1pm. We stayed all afternoon and it was sooooo hot!! They were giving away free water and towels to everyone because of the heat! But we enjoyed it and its always good to go back out there and cheer on the players! We were able to follow my 3 favorites, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis and former razorback, Stacy Lewis for a little but then we just walked the course. We got a little sunburned but it was well worth it.

We came home and have been officially packing for camp all night. I didn't realize since I got older how much stuff I don't have for camps anymore! You would think since we have known for several months we were going we would have been a little more prepared, but oh well! I think we got it all and its in the suitcase in the car! We leave tomorrow at 7am (yikes) and it is about a 7 hour trip. We are going to Alasso Ranch in Texas and it looks awesome!!!! We were told it is more like a resort get-a-way than a camp ha! I am so so excited to get there and enjoy our week. Please be in prayer for all of us going- we are going to have a great time!!

Have a wonderful week and I will post about our trip when we get back!!
