Thankful Thursdays!

So todays post is going to be a quick one. I have been really busy and enjoyed a night out with my husband :)

So here is what I am thankful for today..

I am thankful for my job. I complain about it sometimes and I need to be reminded that I am so thankful to have a job. It may not be the job of my dreams, but its a great first job. I get to work with wonderful Christian people and even though it's early mornings and long days, I am very thankful!

I am thankful for football! Ha! I love love love football and can't wait to cheer on our razorbacks this season! GO HOGS! Check out my new shirt I bought :)

I am thankful that Bella is now potty trained! Haha. That was a stressful couple of weeks, but (knock on wood) I think were finally there!!

And last, I am thankful for date nights with my husband! A simple dinner and some time together can be so uplifting. Both of us have been so busy lately, it's good to set aside time to just spend with each other. Ever since we started dating our freshman year, we would always take one day/night of the week and get out of shawnee and just have dinner or go do something! It was so refreshing and we have continued that tradition while we've been married! it has brought us closer and it always gives us something to look forward to! Tonight's agenda was one of my favorite restaurants.. Marketplace!

So what are y'all thankful for??

That's all for today! I hope y'all have a wonderful Friday and a safe weekend! Also, I thought I had posted pictures on my last post of Katie's wedding, but I guess I forgot- so they're up now!!

Top 5 and update!

Well it's been a few days, but I promise I'm trying to blog more. By the time I get home from work, puppy class and cook dinner.. Blogging is the last thing on my mind ha!

So today is my first post on the top 5 challenge and todays is top 5 vacation spots! I thought this was an appropriate one to pick since we are about to go on our vacation!!

But before I leave you with my top 5 favorite vacations spots I will give you a short update on us!

Last weekend, we went to Tulsa for my friend katies wedding.

We had planned on going to Tulsa Friday, but decided to just hang out at home.
We grilled out steaks and enjoyed a night at home with Bella!
We got up EARLY Saturday morning and took Bella to the kennel. We could of taken her, but we wanted to try this place out before we left her there for 10 days while we are on our cruise.
We then made the 4 1/2 hour drive to Enid! We made it there by 12 and we met up with some OBU friends and had lunch! It was so nice to see everyone again. It had too way too long.

After the wedding we drove backup to Tulsa and had dinner with Peter and Libby at Los Cabos.

Sunday afternoon we played a round of golf! We both havent played in about a month, so I was a little worried, but I ended up shooting my best score yet! I was really excited :)

Friday night we met up with Will, Michelle and some other friends for yogurt! Yum!
The rest of the week we are both working and trying to prepare Bella for her big puppy test/graduation next week!

TOP 5 VACATION SPOTS

1. Jamaica
Mitch took me here for our honeymoon and it was the most beautiful place! I immediately fell In love with the people and the atmosphere.  We went to Ocho Rios, so we not only had the exotic tropical feel, but our resort was in the St Ann mountains... it was so pretty! We had our own little cottage and I would highly recommend it!

2. Cruises
We are about 10 days out from our cruise! I have been on one before and really enjoyed it. I love that you have so much to do on the ship and you get to see multiple places. This trip we are going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica!!

3. Colorado
As you can probably tell I like hot beach vacations, but there is something magical about Colorado! It is so pretty and I never pass up a trip in the winter or summer!

*now these last two are places I have never been but they are number 1 and 2 on my list to visit!

4. NYC
I have always dreamed of going to new York! All my friends say I would love it!

5. Hawaii
Once again, never been but, I mean it's Hawaii- who wouldn't want to go there! Beautiful beaches, weather and golf!

Hope you enjoyed the vacation spots! Mitch, Michelle, Will and I are taking one vacation together a year so we are always up for suggestions!

Have a blessed week!

Thankful Thursdays

So lately I have been pretty bored with blogging. I feel like I don't have much time and just try to find stuff to ramble on about, so.... I have decided to do this blog challenge I came across.

The challenge is to actually blog straight for 30 days and well.. we all know that will not happen, so I changed it up a little. I found this random blog and it had a challenge to blog every day for 30 days and it was called the top 5 challenge. I am going to do the top 5 challenge, but I will just do it whenever I have time to blog. So it is technically not a challenge.. but whatever :)

He gives 30 different topics to blog about and I am going to try and cover as many as I can, some are kind of weird, so I may not do all 30! Also, Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be a little different. I am going to link up with some other blogs I have been enjoying reading and do Top 10 Tuesday and Thankful Thursdays. It will be something new and then on the other days I will continue my top 5 "challenge".

I am really excited because I will always have something to blog about, well at least for the next month or so :) I am so bad about trying to make our blog interesting, so hopefully this will help. So if any of you are in the same boat as me, feel free to join me on my top 5 challenge. I like having something to look forward to blogging about!

So today is Thankful Thursday.... and I have a feeling I am going to love this day. Its always good to be reminded about what we are thankful for. So today....

I am thankful for my family. I have been so blessed with an amazing family and can't wait to see them all this weekend!

I am thankful for weekends.. ha! I have had the most stressful couple weeks at work, I honestly didn't know I could be this stressed. Weekends are so relaxing and not to mention I get to see all my OBU friends THIS  weekend! Did I mention I love weekends!! :)

I am thankful for my dog! She brings so much joy to us and I just love spending as much time with her as I can!

And last but not least, I am thankful for a husband that does such sweet things for me. Since work has been crazy and he knows how stressed I have been... I came home to this today...

It made my night!! He knows just how to turn a bad day into a good one! :)

So what are y'all thankful for?

Have a happy Friday and  wonderful weekend!!

Happy FRIDAY!

It's Friday!! I have had a stressful week at work, so I am enjoying my friday by relaxing and doing a lot of nothing!
This past weekend mitch and I had nothing planned and it was so nice to stay at home. We haven't been able to do that in a long time and we have stuff to do every weekend until the end of September, but two weekends of that is our cruise so I can't complain!!

Since our cruise is right around the corner, mitch and I have a challenge of running every day until our cruise. We both enjoy working out on a regular basis, but running everyday it defiantly a challenge.  We have finally found our routine and it is becoming a lot easier.
Since I run and work out a lot anyways and then adding this challenge too... I needed some new running shoes, it was actually Mitch that noticed. So he took me to find some new shoes.
I usually get asics and I have always loved them, but I tried something new this time and am addicted! We went to Rush Running, it is a local running store in Bentonville. And they do something very unique and it really helps. They put you on a treadmill and video your feet as you run and then they put it on a big screen and slow it down and show you exactly how you run. Then they can tell you what type of support you need or if you put more weight on on the inside or outside of your foot? Then they can fit you for the exact type of shoe that will help according to they way you run. They found out on me that I need extra support in my shoe. So he brought out 4 different pairs and just had me try them on and eleminate them as I go. And i got down to the pair that felt the most comfortable.... This were the winners..

They are sauconys and I had never heard of them before ha. When we paid and got in the car, I looked at Mitch and said "I have never heard of these, I hope they are good" and he looked at me like I was crazy. Ha. He said they are really good shoes and they similar to asics where they are just a shoe company. I should have know by the price, ha but apparently I got some really good shoes! I would recommend them if you need lots of support.

Last Sunday after church, we took Bella to get groomed and we weren't thinking it would take very long, but when we dropped her off they said come back in three and half to four hours. We didn't know what to do with ourselves ha! If we would have planned we would have gone and played golf.. so now we know.
We were excited to get her groomed because after Mitch's dad was taking us out to take some pictures of us and Bella..
Well when we went to pick her up... lets just say I had to do a double take when they brought her out!
That is all I will say and just show you pictures..

Before...
After...

She looked ridiculous and was about 2 times bigger! They brushed out all her curl and made her extra poofy! It was so funny, but I was kinda bummed we had to take our pictures while she looked like that ha! But they turned out great and I will put some on here soon!!
But don't worry, after about a day of laying on it she is back curly and doesn't have a huge afro :)

This week was so busy for me. We had two our our biggest health fairs in the same week and I am so glad they are over. I love working them, but when they are over I realize how tiring the whole process is. I am thankful I have today off!

Today, we have a lot of little things to get done and then tomorrow we are driving to Jonesboro for a wedding.
Last night we watched FOOTBALL! Mitch should consider himself lucky because I actually love sports and especially football!! I cannot wait for football season to begin. With the cool weather last night and football games on it felt like fall! I am hoping we are done with this crazy heat and fall is on its way! There is really nothing like fall in Arkansas! I love everything about it!!

Bella is really starting to warm up and her personality is starting to come out. She can be a handful at times, but I wouldn't trade anything for having a dog. She brings so much joy to us and I can't believe I went my whole life without one. She is starting to bite a lot more, but she is going through the teething process. She is now in her 4th week of puppy class and can sit, do "watch me's" and lie down like a pro! This week we are working on our "take its" and leave its". She is the youngest in the class, but is doing the best! She is very smart and I am so glad we got her into these classes while she was still really young. She is doing great with potty training and she had got the bell system down perfect! She goes to the back door and rings the bell every time she wants to go out. She is also growing so fast!! She is on the larger side for only being 15 weeks, and everyone we see tells us how big she is for her age! We have a friend who has a golden doodle and she sent me a picture of her dog at the same age as Bella is now, and she was about half Bella's size. I think we are going to have a large dog here before long :)

So now I am going to leave you with some pictures...

I hope y'all have a wonderful weekend :)

Decorating and new recipes!

Happy Thursday!

I hope y'all have had a good week so far! I only had to work half days Wednesday and Thursday because our doctors are at a conference! So that made me really happy :).
Mitch is at work today, so I have been home playing with Bella! Yesterday was so hot, we reached record breaking temps! I left My phone in my car for just a little bit and got in my car and it had a yellow message flashing saying temperature warning my phone is too hot and needs to cool down before I could use it. I leave my phone in the car all the time and this was only for a few minutes! Crazy weather!

But all that to say that it feels wonderful today! Earlier it was 85, and now of course its back over 100. I can't believe 85 degrees felt so cool ha!

I feel like I don't get to post much anymore because I am either to tired or occupied with Bella.. So here is a little update on out week..

Last weekend we had a lot of fun! Friday Mitch had to work, so I spend the day with this girl....

We relaxed at home, watched movies and baked! She was so good all day and it made my Saturday so much more fun since mitch was gone all day!

Saturday Mitch and I were both off and we got a lot of stuff done around the house. I have been in the mood to find more decorations for out house ha! So mitch took me shopping and here are some updated pics and some of the stuff I found!

My new table setting!

Here is an up close picture of the napkins. They are reversible and I just thought they were so cute!

I got these flowers from Hobby Lobby, and arranged them into this vase. The only thing I am lacking is a cream color ribbon to tie a bow around the top skinny part of the vase!

Here is just some cute decor I found.. I thought it went well with my theme and I always love finding new decorations for my tables!

And I just LOVE this frame! If you know me at all, I am obsessed with taking pictures, and I have pictures all over our house. I came across this frame and just had to get it. It goes perfect with my living room!

I haven't really shopped at gordmans much before I moved here, but over the past year I have come to love it!! They have such wonderful home decor at great prices. I pretty much get everything there- along with hobby lobby and Kirklands :)
I am also making a photo collage on my wall in the kitchen and so I am collecting all different size black frames with one red one to stand out!

I only have these so far, but hope to get all the frames by when we get back from our cruise! I will have lots of new pics use! I am wanting some more antique looking ones to add some diversity to the collage. Our farmers market always has a cute booth with all this antique/old looking frames, mirrors, etc! I am excited to go this Saturday!! Also,I have been meaning to post this for a while now, my wedding photographer now sells organic bloom frames and they are amazing!! If you click here, then enter the site and click on organic bloom frames, it will take you to them. I am in LOVE! My mom bought some and put some of our wedding pictures and one of my bridal portraits in them and they look awesome!!! I am trying to decide what ones I want- that is def going to be my next purchase! You could say I'm obsessed :) I always look around for frames like this and ever since I found out she sells them I have been so excited!!

That evening Natalie came into town, I always love when we have visitors! We just hung out that night and look what Natalie got for Bella!!

OSU collar, leash, name tag!
So cute!? I have been looking for OSU stuff for Bella so I was excited!

Sunday, my parents came into town and spent the day with us! They were excited to meet Bella!
We ordered in gusanos pizza and Natalie and I made dessert!
Later that afternoon, yes we did more shopping! Mom bought me this cute dog stuff...

This week, I have been in the mood to cook.. A LOT! I love cooking and feel like i haven't been able to make dinners like i use to. So I sent Mitch to the grocery store and here is what we have had...

Tuesday we had fajitas and I saw this new corn dip on Jenna's Blog. We made it and it was delicious!

Wednesday ( I also found this from another blog) chicken and rice with green bean bundles.
Here is the recipe...
