25th Birthday and Golf!

Happy Easter!!! I am so thankful for this holiday and what it means!! I will do a post about out Easter weekend soon! I hope y'all have a blessed day! 

Well I had a wonderful birthday and I feel like we have celebrated all week! Mitch did little things everyday this week to make me feel special. I have a pretty awesome husband. On Tuesday, he took me out to my favorite restaurant, Tokyo Garden. It is just like Shogun- but we like it a little better. Natalie and her boyfriend came with is and it was a lot of fun. Wednesday I was so blessed and surprised by my class!! I walked into the classroom to all the kids already there, singing happy birthday to me. They all gave me flowers and had donuts for me. So we had a little donut party that morning and it was so thoughtful. All the kids made me homemade birthday cards and they were so cute! It made my morning and little did I know they had more planned! I got back from lunch and they had another party planned for me. This time we had Cookiedoodle cookies and snacks and all the moms were there too. They presented me with a basket of my favorite snacks and gift cards! It was one of the best birthdays! I think the kids were more excited that it was my birthday than I was ha!

My parents and brother also had a cookie bouquet with cookies made like owls(my fav) delivered to me at school!! I was seriously so overwhelmed with love- they all made me feel so special. I wouldn't of wanted to spend my birthday any other way!! 
That night, since Mitch had to work, we went to an early dinner with my parents to Charleston's and then I spend the rest of the night with my family. It was a wonderful day!! Mitch gave me my present before we went to dinner and when I opened it- it was 3 Luke Bryan CDs. I mean I love Luke Bryan, but I was kinda confused. But it didn't take me long to put together thy he is getting me tickets to his concert! I am sooooo excited! 

Friday I had a short day at school and then we went and played golf. We have bought SO many groupons to play golf and we had one that expired this weekend so since the weather has been absolutely gorgeous we figured it would be the perfect day! 

Since Mitch was off this weekend and it was Easter, I had so many things planned for us to do... Little did I know things were going to change. I will do a post soon about our weekend that went downhill very quickly. 

Spring Break 2013

Well spring break has come to an end and it was so nice! I understand why teachers have spring break.. We literally would go crazy if we didn't.. But I honestly thing everyone should have spring break ha! It is so nice to have a week off and regroup. We are now on the count down to summer! I am very bittersweet about this. I am so ready for summer.. warm weather, vacations, etc. But I will miss my kids more than I thought. Anyone that's a teacher knows what I mean. They truly steal your heart and are so fun to be around. I think I have come to the conclusion I communicate better with kindergarteners than adults. Ha They just bring so much joy to my day and I will miss that. There is one class in particular, that I seriously want to just take all them home with me. My teacher is actually going to go with them to 1st grade. I would too.. They are angels.

But anyways our spring break was so nice. We left Friday afternoon for Bentonville. We hung out and had dinner later that night. We were able to hang out with friends and it was so nice. Early Saturday morning we made the 6 hour drive to Memphis and we got there by 1. Mitch and I spend the day in downtown Memphis. We walked all around.. it was St. Patty's Day on Beale Street, so you can only imagine ha! We hung out there for a while and then went into the Peabody to cool off. We defiantly missed the memo on the weather. We were not dressed for hot weather. Later we had dinner at Rendezvous, and like always it was delish!

After dinner, we went to Mitch's dads mom house and stayed with her the first night. We went to church with her Sunday morning and then she took us golfing at her club- Germantown Country Club. The weather was so nice and we enjoyed being back out on the golf course all day!

After golf, we made out way to mitchs moms parents farm. We LOVE it out there and I seriously never want to leave. It is so fun and relaxing. We stayed until Tuesday and them spent the rest of our time in Bentonville. We came home Wednesday night and I had a few relaxing days at home before I had to go back to work on Monday.

I was able to have a girls night Thursday night and my good friends Katie and Shannon came over and we hung out, made cookies and maybe made a late night food run ha! It felt like old times and I loved it. Katie stayed the night and Friday we just hung out. I was able to be some what productive the rest of the weekend.

Thats my break in a nutshell. I loved every minute of it and cant wait for our next trip to  Tennessee(which is coming up soon.. I am working on a post of some fun things to share)! Have a great Friday!

Overdue

**This was suppose to be posted at the beginning of last week. Sorry I completely forgot I wrote it and did not publish it. Anyways enjoy.. and I am currently working on a post about our spring break!

Hey y'all! It has been busy around here and so I thought I would fill you in on what's been going on with us!

These past weeks have been CRAZY busy for me at school. We had conferences last week so all the craziness is now over and we are in the countdown to spring break! I just love having a spring break again ha! We are going to Memphis for the first half of the week and then just hang at home with friends the last half.

Mitch has also been busy at work. Their floor has recently lost a few nurses, so therefore he is always swamped at work! Last week he was able to spend one of his days off following around an anesthesiologist. He loved it and he really likes being in the OR all day. I am so glad he is enjoying it.

We have also spending lot of time with our life group. Last weekend we went to dinner and a movie with them and it was so fun. We went to Texas Roadhouse and saw Identity Thief. Mitch also finally got a new pair of cowboy boots! I have several pair and wear them all the time. I have been trying to convince him to get a pair since we started dating ha! My parents got him a gift card to Drysdales and he found a pair he loves... He wears then ALL the time haha! I knew he would fall In love :)

We are loving the weather this week! It is so wonderful it stays light out longer and this weather in the upper 60s and upper 70s is awesome! We went to the driving range yesterday and it was much needed. But I didn't do as poorly as I was expecting :) We are playing again on Thursday and then also this weekend in Memphis. We have a course about 5 min from our house and about 30 seconds away from my school. So since I get off at 3:30 I can be there and changed by 3:45. It is so nice!!!

That's about all that's going on here! I am so ready for a week off and I am on the countdown to my birthday!! :)
