Our Weekend in Pictures

Well actually, it was last weekend. This weekend I was stuck inside with the flu. But we had a great time last weekend, so I thought I would catch you up.

Last Friday night, we went out to dinner and to a movie. We haven't been to a movie in what seems like forever. It was so fun to just get out and enjoy each others company. We went to Waterfront Grill and it was soooo good. If you are in the Jenks area and want a nice place to have dinner, I highly recommend it! It sits on the AR river by Los Cabos and they are owned by the same people, but this is not mexican and it is more upscale. After dinner, we went and saw Silver Linings Playbook and we both loved that as well!

Saturday, we went to Stillwater for the day. I wanted to do some shopping, and we had tickets to the OSU Basketball game.

We knew we were going to have a big lunch, so on our way out of town we stopped and got smoothies. These are my favorite!!!!

We did some shopping, went to the game and then ate lunch at Eskimo Joes! And to make things better it was the perfect day. The temperature was in the high 60's and so it made all the walking we had to do around campus very enjoyable!

We got back into Tulsa around 7 that evening and we went and both did some much needed shopping. I needed some new work clothes BAD and we got a few new things for the house. One being a new Keurig. We had had ours since we got married and it had died. I was surprised it only lasted that long, but we.. well I, LOVED it so we had to go get a new one. I don't know if I could survive without it ha!

Bella got a bath and a hair cut this weekend. I hate when we have to get her cut short... she looks so weird ha! But it was for the best for her and she does seem to grow her hair back quickly.

Monday, since we were off school, I went to the gym in the morning and then had brunch with my good friend Tayler at First Watch.

I started not to feel good that afternoon and come to find out.. I had the flu. I made it through work until Thursday.. then I was done. I knew it was too good to be true that I had not been sick since like October. I should have known it was coming ha! I have been in bed all weekend and finally feeling better. I am hoping this week is better than last!

Have a great week!!

Catch Up

I know I haven't been the best blogger lately and I am working on that. I honestly don't have a good excuse, I haven't even been that busy, just lazy ha! Like I said... Im working on it.

Since I haven't blogged in a week or so, I thought I would catch y'all up on what we've been up to. Last week was my first week back to work and to say it was exhausting would be an understatement. I was super excited to be back, it just brought back memories of the first week of school back in August. Ha it's amazing how kids can be gone for just a short time and completely forget the routine. It was like starting from scratch. But I am hoping this week will be a little easier. I was so excited to see all my kids. They make coming to work so easy.

We didn't do anything too exciting this week. The bachelor has started and I am watching it with a group of girls from my life group. It's sad that that is a highlight if my week ha! We put out house all back together from Christmas. I am a little embarrassed to say it took me this long to put it all away. But it is finally done! Mitch worked this past weekend, so I took advantage of it and was super lazy. I was exhausted after my week of work. We did celebrate my moms 50th birthday! My dad took a group of us to Flemings Steakhouse! If you haven't been there, I highly recommend it! It is pricey, but completely worth it!It's the best steak I have ever had!

Other than going to the gym, that's about all we've been up too. I finally feel we are to the point again where we live a normal life and aren't thinking about house stuff, moving, etc.

This weekend my parents are going to Dallas and I must say I am super jealous they are going to the Thunder/Mavs games and they got 5th row seats! Mitch and I are just a little bitter about it :)
But we are spending the weekend in Stillwater and going to a basketball game, so I am excited about that!

Hope y'all are having a great week!

New Years and Thunder!

Happy New Year! I know its kind of late, but we had a relaxed week and I am so glad to be back to school. Honestly, Sunday night I was kinda dreading it but as soon as a walked in Monday I was so happy to be back! I think break was just long enough to get me into some habits (staying up way too late) and that was what I was dreading most about Monday morning ha. There was one point in the break I was so ready to go back, but then that weekend before I actually had to go back, I realized I really was enjoying my time off. I had a great last week of break and we did some fun things.

Mitch had to work New Years Eve but we still went out to an early dinner to PF Changs. Even though it wasn't our usual New Years Eve, it was still fun to get dressed up and enjoy a night out with my husband.

Mitch went to work and Katie, Tom, Shannon and Drew came over. We spent the evening at home playing games. It was such a nice relaxing time and its always fun to ring in the new year with good friends.

Last Friday, we had planned to spend the day in Stillwater but that changed. Mitch ended up getting Thunder tickets for Friday night so we decided to spend the day in Okc. We went down early Friday morning and went to the outlets and shopped all day. Before the game we went to my favorite mexican restaurant, Mama Roja on Lake Hefner. We had a blast at the game, like always, and we even got on the jumbo-tron! Ha!

This past week, Mitch's basketball league started up. He is playing on a team with drew and tommy so I enjoy getting to see Shannon and Katie once a week at the games! There is some other OBU guys on the team, so it feels like old times ha!

Saturday night, we went to BWW with Katie and Tommy to eat and watch the Packers game! Most of y'all already know how big of a Packers fan Mitch is, so he is loving it right now. And I have to admit, I do enjoy cheering them on too.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!
