Fall is here!

Hey y'all! Well, I was doing good at blogging once a week, but my streak ended. We got super busy last weekend and since then, I have just been plain lazy. But I do have some fun things to share that have been going on around here.

Last weekend was tons of fun and I just have to mention, I am loving Mitch working days!!But anyways friday night we went to eat downtown and then to the Jenks/Union game and it was such a good game. We went with another couple that I work with and we really enjoyed it. I mean we love football and it was so nice to be able to wear jeans and a sweater! This weather has me giddy... I am in love with fall!

Saturday morning we got up and played around of golf. It was in the 50's in the morning!! I was actually cold for the first 9, then it warmed up in the 70's and it was the perfect golfing weather.

I am praying we have a long fall season. I can say I love this cooler weather but cold weather is another story. After golf, we went downtown to Ribfest with Katie and Tommy. We had never been, and we really enjoyed it. After we ate our weight in bbq, we all came back to our house to watch some football.

That evening was the Luke Bryan concert. I had been waiting, and waiting and waiting..... for this concert. I have been begging to go see him for years now and so for my birthday back in march, Mitch got us tickets. So to say I was excited was an understatement . Florida Georgia Line and Thompson Square opened for him and they were awesome. I am usually not that excited to see the opening bands, but I was so happy when I found out these two were opening for him. And of course, Luke put on a great show! I would go to another one of his concerts in a heartbeat!

Sunday was our day to catch up on rest. We went to church, LifeGroup and then back home. We grilled out and watched the Packers play all afternoon. It was the perfect afternoon!

Not much went on the past week. I worked all week, while Mitch was off. He was able to play golf and and I have to brag- he did clean the house and that made me super happy! Since he is working this weekend I haven't done much but I did do a little fall shopping with my mom on saturday. We went to The Market fall open house, Hobby Lobby and shopped downtown Jenks. I was able to pick up some new fall decor and the cutest red headband/hat for the winter!
When I got home I made chex mix, watched the Razorbacks and ended my day just relaxing. It was a great day- minus the ending to the Arkansas game. I don't want to talk about it.

Today, I have spent most of the day outside. On my way to church, it was in the 50's! Can you believe it?? I may have stopped and got a pumpkin spice latte to take with me to church :)  Bella and I have been watching the Packers- we don't want to talk about that game either- and playing outside. This weather is just to beautiful not to be outside.

The fair starts this week and we are so excited. It might be a little weird how excited we get about the fair ha!

Have a great week!

Random Post

So this post has no real relevance. Mitch is off playing tennis and I decided to stay home tonight and get some things done... you can tell that's going real well. I usually go watch him- he plays once a week, but I was exhausted today and I am suppose to be making dinner. So I am sorry for my upcoming ramblings, but there is not much going on in the Frank household this week.

Good news is my class is finally starting to get it... or I am just getting use to their not minding, not listening, not following directions... do I need to go on??  I can see this week has been better (knock on wood) but then again it is only Tuesday. I can slightly... barely...  almost see a small change in their little attitudes, and I am hoping the change gets bigger everyday. I love these kids, they are just really challenging my patience this year. I do have a funny story to share... I have about a thousand funny stories a day, but this one had Mitch and I rolling! Preface of the story, we were at Art yesterday and the art teacher is an older lady, and she has pictures of famous artists taped on to the end of every table.. ex: Van Gogh, Picasso, etc. Now I am going to remind you, as kindergarten we do not go to specials every week, we only go about once a month to introduce them so they will be ready when they are in first grade. So this was our first time at art, and I was sitting with a group of my students and one boy asked the art teacher what those papers with peoples pictures on them taped to the end of the tables were. And she proceeded to tell him about all the famous artists and he seemed very interested and with a very serious face he asked "well who is the man on our table?" And she continued to tell him that that was Michelangelo. He looked at her with a very concerned face and said, that is not Michelangelo... I was Michelangelo for Halloween last year.  They argued for a minute and he looked at her and said, "Michelangelo is a turtle... he is the orange one". Not only was it a funny convo to overhear, but it made it 10x funnier that she didn't get it and kept arguing with him. That was one of those conversations I decided not to intervene, because it was just too funny. I had to let it play out. Just thought I would share that with y'all.. I know we got a kick out of it.

Last night we were looking for something quick and easy to make for dinner, so I hopped on Pinterest and found these Bacon, Guacamole grilled cheese sandwiches. Omg.. they were delicious! Search it on Pinterest, you won't be disappointed.

Last weekend, and last night consisted of lots of football. I was not disappointed one bit. I curled up on the couch and enjoyed me some Razorback and Greenbay football!

I have this new obsession with Paperdoll Designs. It is a local mom here in Tulsa and she customizes and makes anything you'd want. As most of y'all know my obsession with monogramming, this doesn't help that. My homeroom mom got me stuff from her last year and now I have already placed several orders. I got one of them in today and I was so excited!! Anything that I can personalize, I am in love with!

Binder, slurpy cup, pen/pencil holder, SFB phone charger wrap, and my favorite- the HOGS keychain!
Oh and another piece of goos news... I am just full of good news today. Tropical Smoothie Cafe (the best smoothie shop ever) is having half price smoothies every morning this week. That means I paid a little over $2 for my smoothie this morning. And it was delicious! I actually branched out and tried a new kind and I was very impressed (and proud of myself). I got the Island Green.. it is made with spinach and kale and surprisingly I couldn't taste it at all. It is my new favorite. Go try it.. don't let it scare you because it is green. I promise if it wasn't green you would never know- it taste like pineapples!

So that is about all the random, pointless news I have for y'all today. Check back later this week for more. I know y'all are just so excited to see what I have to talk about next :)

Enjoy your week!

Fall

Well this weekend has been super low key and after taking care of little ones all week, I needed it! Mitch is currently working his first day shift and it is already so much better. He works all weekend, but getting to see him at night is so nice.

As most of y'all know, our summer was super busy and we have finally had about a month of not much going on. We have been able to stay home on weekends and we have enjoyed it. But as I was looking at my calendar this past week, I noticed our fall is filling up fast. I didn't even realize it and I guess we have just been adding stuff to the calendar like crazy. But it is all fun stuff and I am really looking forward to this fall season.

This coming weekend we are going to see Luke Bryan in concert and I am super excited!  One week/weekend, close to the end of September, I think I am going to take off a few days and we are going to try and spend some time back in AR. We love AR, but we really love being there in the fall. So, this will be nice time to be up there without any plans and we can just hang out, visit friends and eat at some of our favorite restaurants. The fair also starts in September... this is a time where I eat way to much food, but love every minute of it.

October is my favorite month and we have lots going on. We will be back in AR for my MIL and SIL birthdays. We are also going to a razorback game and then my favorite thing about fall- craft fairs!! My fall break always falls on craft fair week, so I am excited to get to spend some time up there! At the end of the month, I am running the Tulsa Run and my best friend, Elizabeth, is going to be here to run it with me.

In November, I only have 3 weeks of school and then I am off for Thanksgiving! This year we are going back to our alma mater for homecoming. We have talked about doing this the past couple years, but just got too busy. And now that they have football, and we have lots of friends down there we have decided to go. Mitch and I are going to make a weekend out of it. We are going up thursday and are going to play in the Alumni golf tournament on Friday. Saturday morning there is a race I am thinking about running and then the football game that afternoon. We have some friends going with us and I am so excited to spend the weekend back at OBU!!

And in the middle of all this, we are waiting to hear back from schools for Mitch. He should be hearing back in the next month or two about scheduling interviews. We are both very confused with what we are going to do about his school, but we know things will work out. It is just a stressful process and I am ready for it to be over.

I am excited about all these fun things we get to do with friends and I am even more excited it is all in the fall. I keep dreaming of cool weather, football, and pumpkins! I just love this time of year!
