Hi! Well...Mitch and I finally have our blog setup. We have been so busy trying to get settled in, we just kept putting it off. On July 4th we moved into our new house and have began our new journey here together in Arkansas. Originally, I was going to start just a cooking/recipe blog, but we recently found out Will and Michelle, Mitch's brother and his wife, are moving to Dallas, so we decided to make it more than just a cooking blog so we can keep up with them while they are down in Texas and they can do the same with us. We have been married and living in Arkansas for about 2 months now, so here is an update on our lives since then!
For those of you who didn't know...Mitch kept the honeymoon location a secret during our engagement...so I didn't find out until right before that we were going to JAMAICA! We stayed in Ocho Rios at a Sandals Resort. It was so beautiful and we definitely want to visit Jamaica again!
Since we've been back, Mitch has started his job back up and I have began the job search. He is working at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville. He works 3 days a week from 7am-7pm (pretty nice schedule if you ask me). He works on the senior floor, which is great for him because all the old ladies love him! I always look forward to hearing all his crazy and interesting stories! I am still searching for a job. I have applied to more places than I thought possible, and heard back from a few, all saying the interview process doesn't start until sometime in september. So right now I am just waiting and hoping for an interview!
Our house is finally starting to come along! I will post pictures soon! We are still missing some small stuff and are in the process of hanging pictures, etc. It has been so much fun decorating our house together and I cant wait until it is all finished.
Since I am at home all day while Mitch works, I have found a new hobby: cooking/baking! Mitch and I have always liked to cook together, but I have really come to love it. We try new recipes for dinner and during the day I bake! So instead of having our recipe blog, we will add our favorites to this blog so you can enjoy them as well!
Although I do not have a job yet, we have definitely been keeping busy. Last month we joined a golf and athletic club. So needless to say we have been playing a lot of golf! The club also has a pool, workout facility, and tennis courts so it has been really nice. We have also started running, hoping to get in shape to run the Tulsa run this fall. We make frequent trips to Tulsa to see my family! It is so nice to be able to go and see them when we want. Our last trip to Tulsa was for my brothers birthday and we ended up going to Stillwater to visit my grandparents while we were in OK. They took us to Karsten Creek Country Club to have lunch. It is a fairly new golf course and it is where the OSU golf team plays. The course was absolutely beautiful and we were able to tour the men and women's locker rooms. They were amazing!
