2011 Races!

Okay, so many of you have asked for the list of races I am running this spring. Most of these races are only 5k's but I picked them because they are really fun runs (and since I am doing a large amount of races, I don't want to over do it). Also because,  I am running a half marathon on April 2nd and since most of these races are after that... I can get that out of the way so I can enjoy the easier races. I tend to get burnt out pretty easy on a lot of long distance running, so I am guessing after I finish training and running the half, I am not going to be up for more long runs.
So here they are...

February 12th: Sweetheart Run- Tulsa, OK 5k/10k

March 12th: St. Patty's Day Run- Tulsa, OK 5k

April 2nd: Bentonville Running Festival- Bentonville, AR HALF-MARATHON!

April 16th: Cherishing Children Challenge- Rogers, AR 5k *this one is a maybe?

April 30th: Race for the Cure- Rogers, AR 5k

May 6th: Gold Rush- Bentonville, AR 5k *this one is in the evening, so it should be fun and different!

May 7th: Battle for Hope- Bentonville,  AR 5k/10k

May 14th: Full Moon Run- Tulsa, OK 5k

May 21st: Jenks Aquarium Run- Jenks, OK 5K

Now, y'all better join me in running these!! Most of them are only 5k's so I know you have no excuse. Ha! I am looking for a few more to run in Tulsa and Dallas, so if you guys have any good recommendations, please let me know!

Also, if you are looking for a good training schedule... here is the link to ours...
Runners World Half Marathon Training Schedule
It has a great running schedule and plus a lot of good tips while training and for race day. Mitch and I run a lot and have looked at multiple training schedules, and we think this is a good one. It is 9 week program, but Runners World also has longer ones.

As I am typing this, it is snowing!! We went out an measured this morning and we had about 5-6 inches, but it is still coming down! I am trying my best to enjoy it, but I just can't stand this cold! And not to mention everything is closed. We had planned on going to the fitness center to run inside today, and well thats even closed!  Tulsa got about 15 inches... and for the first time, I am glad I am not there. Ha!

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow day!!
