Playoff Game- Thunder Up!!

Several weeks ago, Mitch and I went to the Thunder Playoff game- game 1 of the Clippers and little did we know we were going to have a little extra surprise!
I had been trying to figure out what to get Mitch for his birthday and could not come up with anything- he may be the worst at making lists of things he wants ha! So I had the brilliant idea to get him Thunder Playoff tickets. We both are kind of obsessed with the Thunder. We were talking the other day and yes we love the Razorbacks, but that was "his"team and I started liking them obviously because of him. And yes, we love the Cowboys-but that was "my" team and he cheers for them now because of me and my family. The Thunder was the first team we both loved because of the team itself and we have grown together over the years to LOVE the OKC Thunder. They started in OKC when Mitch and I started dating, so thats pretty cool. I remember always going to the games with him in college- it has been something we have grown to love together. We are seriously so sad about moving bc we will miss going to all the games.
But anyways, I had decided to get him playoff tickets and when I looked at the schedule against Memphis, every game that was in OKC, was on a night he worked and with him not getting home until around 8 that wasn't going to work. So I ended up having to tell him what I was doing and told him he could choose- i could get him a different gift, or we could pray, and pray hard (bc we all know that memphis series was beyond stressful) they make it the next series. He of course chose to wait. So when they beat Memphis and they released there new series schedule I was up early and online to get us tickets.
So as most of you know- Thunder tickets are not cheap- not even the regular games, much less the playoffs. So while I was online, I was getting frustrated bc these tickets were outrageously expensive. The only thing I could remotely afford was the second to the top row. I knew mitch would not care, he would just be happy to go. I kept looking and even going down 2 or 3 rows the prices skyrocketed!
So I got them, and really if you have been there you know there is not a bad seat in the house. You may be high, but all the seats are good!
So Monday I took off work a little early and we headed to OKC. We spend the afternoon there and it was so fun! We had dinner at Big Truck Tacos and omg they were delish!! We will be going back soon!
We also went to Sara Sara cupcakes. My good friend at work, Ashley, kept telling me about this place and told me we have to go. I am not the biggest dessert fan, and lets be honest, I really just wanted to go because of the name :)
But anyways, we went and this is hands down one of my new favorite places to go. The cupcakes are to die for and get ready for this-- they have a milk bar! Yes they give you a frosted glass and you get unlimited milk. I was skeptical at first, but it was amazing! And not to mention the place itself is just too cute! So if you are ever in OKC- go there! You won't be disappointed!
We got tot he game pretty early and hung out at Thunder Ally. I even saw one of my sweet kiddos before the game!
Closer to game time, we went and found our seats. As we were doing this, some of our good friends text me and said they were at the game too and we need to meet up at half time. So come halftime we met them and we knew they had good seats, but we didn't know how good. They use their parents season tickets and we have seen Facebook pics and comment on how good their seats look. So we met up with them and they insisted to switch us seats!!! We of course told them no but they weren't taking no for an answer. They kept saying you have to experience a playoff game up close! So we took them and headed to their seats. Okay are you ready- these seats weren't just close they were on the COURT! There are only a few seats that are actually on the court and these were some of them! We had to like go through security to get down there ha! We sat right IN FRONT of KD's mom ha! It was incredible and we had the best time!! You could reach out and touch the players and hear all their little talk to each other. It was one of the best experiences ever!
Thats about all thats going on around here- I am working a post about moving out of our house and end of school, so check back soon! Also, sorry for the lack of pictures- I fully planned on uploading them, but got lazy :) So if you're interested, check out my Instagram!
