On May 21 we were completely moved out of our house. It was such a bitter sweet feeling, but I am so excited for the new journey we are about to embark on.
May 30th was my last day at Jenks West and let me tell you this was the hardest day of the whole moving process. I have come to love this school and I am just praying I will be back there in 3 short years. Not only was it hard saying goodbye to all my co-workers and students, but there was one little girl, Hadley, who I had in Kindergarten 2 years ago that we have just really stayed in touch and saying goodbye to her was seriously so hard. I always tell Mitch, she is like my little best friend. We have had some ice cream dates this summer so it has been nice to see her and she has already planned to write me in TN, and if you know this girl, she will write about 2 letters a week ha! I am so thankful for her and continue to pray we stay in touch!
So we have been living with parents for the summer- or should I was for a week ha. From when I got out of school until we left for Florida, we had less than a week to be at my parents and we still haven't returned. We were fortunate enough to spend 2 weeks in Florida and then when we left Florida we drove straight to Bentonville and house/dog sat for Mitch's parents while they are on a trip. It has been so nice to be here a week with no plans and nothing to do. We have been relaxing and just enjoying our favorite parts of Bentonville! I just LOVE this town!
While we were in Florida- we went to so many wonderful seafood restaurants and spend some much needed time on the beach. I had the privilege of being in my best friends wedding which was in Destin and it turned out just beautiful! It was so pretty and perfect!
We also played several golf courses and it was so fun. We always try and play a course every time we travel and since we were there for so long with no plans, we played the Hilton Resort course, Regatta Bay and Kelly Plantation. They were all so nice and we would play any of them again!
This past week in Bentonville has been so nice. We have been running on the trails almost everyday. It is one of my all time favorite places to run. We have of course, made sure we ate at all our favorite restaurants- Sushi house, Marketplace, Las Palmas, Kennedy, Dunkin Dounuts, and the list goes on!
Today is our 4 year anniversary- I cannot believe how fast these four years have gone. I am so excited for the new chapter in our lives we are about to start in Tennessee and I can't imagine going with anyone else!
We are headed back to Tulsa this weekend just for 2 days because I am in one of my best friend, Tayler's wedding and I seriously cannot wait! This has been so fun to be apart of and I can't wait to stand by her when she says I do!
Then our summer of travels continues- we are headed to Tennessee to find a house!!!! Out of everything we are doing this summer I am so excited for this trip. We have decided to just rent a house since his clinical can move all over, so even though its just a rent house I am excited to see house hunt for a place for us to live! I just love the town of Jackson and can't wait to be there!! This will be the first time we will be there knowing we will be living there!
So thats what we have been up to. We are all over the place this summer and I wouldn't have it any other way. Its been wonderful to both have the summer off to dow whatever we please :)
Until next time~
