Christmas 2010

I hope y'all had a very merry Christmas! I just love Christmas time, and I am sad it's over. Last year Mitch was able to spend Christmas morning with my family in Tulsa, but this was our first official Christmas married!  We were able to spend time with each family, which was so nice! We are enjoying it while we can, since in a couple of years, we won't have that luxury.

On Christmas eve morning, we went to Mitch's parent's house and had a delicious breakfast. His grandma and aunt, as well as Will and Michelle were there! I have missed Michelle living right down the road, so I enjoyed spending some time with her!

It was nice to see them all. We had our Christmas with them that afternoon and it was great! We had an early Christmas when we were in Memphis, so this was actually our 2nd Christmas! We got some great gifts... Mitch got his Play Station 3, and I think I doubled my golf wardrobe! Will and Michelle and Mitch's parents got me a bunch of Izod matching skirts/tops/jackets! I love them! I also got new Arkansas stuff. Between the shirts from Mitch's parents and the shirts Mitch got me... I think I got 5 new Razorback shirts... Ha! I definitely fit in now! We are also trying to get more stuff for our office and Mitch's parents got us some Arkansas stuff and these pictures.

I still have to go get them framed, but they are so nice and will go perfect in our office!
Later that afternoon, we headed to Tulsa! We got to my house around 4 and our house was packed with family. On Christmas eve, we always have a ton of finger foods and just hang out and play games.  We had more food than we knew what to do with, but somehow over the next few days it was eaten. We spent the night watching the Tulsa football game and playing cards. It was nice to be home for Christmas!

Christmas morning, we got up and my parents always make big breakfast. My dad cooked ham, my mom made a breakfast casserole, blueberry tart ring, and much more! It was so good! After we ate, we opened presents! We had another wonderful Christmas! We got clothes, shoes, and more stuff for our house! One of my favorite things I got were these pair of heels! I can't wait to wear them!

After we were all done, my mom brought out a red box for Mitch and I. We opened it and there were two small sacks, one for Mitch and one for me. Inside the bags were two CAR KEYS!! We we so shocked and ran into the garage to see it.

We got a new 2011 Honda CR-V!! My mom just recently got the same one, in black, so we have matching cars! When my mom got hers, I fell in love and kept saying how much I liked it and I can't believe they got us one!! My parents took my car about a month ago and said it needed to go in the shop, which it did. But I guess they just wanted to get us something more reliable, since mine was getting old.

I love smaller suv's and they are so practical. I never wanted to give up my old one because I loved the size! This shape reminds me a lot of my old car, but the inside is so nice and I love that new car smell! I just love driving it around!

Later that afternoon, we headed over to my grandmas for our 4th Christmas. Ha! Just one of the perks to being married! We had a big lunch and then played dirty santa. It is a family tradition that my grandpa always puts together. We opened more presents and spent the rest of the afternoon at my grandma's.

The next morning, we went and had coffee with Natalie, then I went shopping with my mom. That night I wanted to take Mitch to see the lights at Rhema. I go every year, and I can't believe I have never taken him. We had dinner at Teds, with Peter and Scotty, then all went out to see the lights!

This picture doesn't do justice, but there are so many lights!! We had such a good time and I always love spending time with friends while at home.

Monday we headed back to Arkansas and it took all night to unload and put all our stuff up. Mitch had to work these past couple of days and then we are headed back to Tulsa tomorrow for the wedding! I can't wait to see everyone!
