Birthdays, Cinco de Mayo and Baseball!

I have really beeing looking forward to this past weekend becasue we hardely ever to get spend a full wekeend at home in AR. We love traveling, but are going to try and cut back a little beacuse it is so nice to have a weekend at home. And we live in beautiful nwa and there are so many fun things do to here! I don't want to live here forever, but I do love that I am getting to spend a few years here.

This weekend was so much fun! We started out Friday and I had to work some and Mitch got to play Pinnacle. He grew up playing this course and he says it feels so weird to be considered a "guest". If you havent played it, it is georgeous!!! It looks like somethng striaght out of a magazine, and especially right now becasue they are preparing it for the LPGA. It is usuall in Sept, but this year it is in June! So the course is even better than usual right now! After he finished we came home relaxed for a while and then headed up to the square for dinner! We went to Flying Fish and it was PACKED! I competely forgot 1st Friday was going on and there was a 5k up on the square as well. I forgot the race was this weekend, I usually run it, It is the gold rush and it supports the bentonville schools. It's a super fun race, I am bummed I missed it this year.

After a long wait, we finally ordered our food and were seated! Dinner was delicious! Mitch got crawfish and a lot of it. We were planning on sharing and me getting something else small becuse depending on where you get the crawfish from it can be super spicy and he wasnt for sure I was going to want it for a meal. But it was so good!! It was spicy, but not too horrible!

Yum!!! And it's only $8 per pound! We were expecting it to be a lot more than that. I dont know if that's a good thing or a bad thing...we may be up there way to much :)

After dinner we went and walked around the square for first Friday. It is one of my favorite things our town does! It so fun and we walked of all that seafood we just ate! After first friday, we went back to our house and had cake!!

I thought it was so funny that of all the delicious bakery's we have in the area, the cake Mitch requested for his birthday was a dairy queen reeses cake!! I was planning on calling Rick's to surprise him with a cake and then he told me he wanted Dairy Queen ha! He is obsessed with DQ!

I do have to admit, it was pretty delicious!

Saturday, we got up and went to the farmers market.. it is another on of my favorite things to do in our town! They didnt have hardly any fruit out yet, but we did get some stuff for our Cinco De Mayo dinner we were making that night!
After we made a trip to walmart, and we all know those take forever! I was gad to get it done for the week though!

We then took Bella and headed out for a run on the CB trails. We went about 4 miles and with it being so humid Bella was about to die ha! But it was nice to get my run in! I havent ran in about 4 days becasue I have been feeling awful from the dental work I had done last wednesday.

We can home and crashed, I dont think either of us were expecting it to be that humid. We took showers and laid in bed and napped/watched the Kentucky Derby. Sidenote: I just love everything about the Kentucky Derby!

After we were all rested up, we started our Cinco De Mayo dinner! One of Mitch's all time favorite reciepes for me to make is my chicken enchillads, so he requested that for dinner. We also made guacomole, queso and strawberry margaritas!

I bought this big pack of mason jars this weekend and I am so excited about them ha! We tend to break the small glasses we got for wedding gifts so easy and I have a small obsession with mason jars, so I dedided to buy a large box of them and we are using half for drinking glasses now (I love it for the summertime) and the other half for flower vases, decor, crafts, etc! We enjoyed our cinco de mayo dinner and watched the Thunder game! It was a nice relaxing night at home!

Sunday, we went to church. it was an awesome service. The lead singer from Newsong was speaking and his testimony was very moving. After church we went out to Pinnacle for their brunch (best food ever) and then took Bella to the Naturals baseball game. It was our first one of the season and it was Bark in the Park! We love going to naturals games! It was extreamly hot and humid Sunday, so we stayed for about half of it and then headed home to get Bella in the air. She slept all evening!!

Bella and I before the baseball game

Thats our weekend! It was so nice to be at home and enjoy this weather! Next weekend Mitch will be working, so I think I am going to make a quick trip to Tulsa to see my mom for mothers day!

Hope y'all enjoy your week!
