Yesterday was Mother's Day! I am sorry I didnt get around to posting, we were busy all day! So Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there! I know it is a very special day and the older I get I realize how much my mom did for me and how thankful I am for the relationship I have with her!

We got up early Sunday (Mitch ended up getting off) and headed to Tulsa. We met my parent sat church and then after church, we headed over to my granparents for a fish fry!! We do a few of these a summer and they are my all time favorite! First off I love fish, but second it is so fun just to get everyone together! The guys in my family (grandpas, uncle, dad, brother) are big fishers and then they love to cook it! So we don't complain :)
We headed back to AR around 5.. it was a short trip, but I feel very fortuante I got to spend mother's day with my mom! When we got into AR, we went over to Mitch's parents house and had a mother's day dinner over there. We were stuffed from thr fish fry, but we can always make room for steak, veggies and potatoes! It was so nice to spend mother's day with both moms. We apprieciate all they do for us!

Monday, came way too soon. We didnt get home until pretty late and then I crashed! Long story short, I have been having sleeping issues for a long time, like since I was younger, but over the past year they have gotten pretty bad. So I started taking this supplement to help with your sleep cycle. I took my first one last night and let's just say it has had a lasting effect on me. I could not wake up this morning, was late to work, and cant focus on anything! Needless to say, it has been a very unproductive day. I am praying it wears off soon! I am going to re-think taking it again tonight!
But on a better note, I got my flex schedule for summer and all my vacations approved! I am so excited about all the fun things we have going on this summer!! Since I work at a university and there is not too much going on in the summer, I get shorter hours and only have to work 4 days a week! So I have lots of fridays and Mondays off, which is awsome for when we travel! Mitch can really get off whenever he wants, so if we want to go somewhere for a weekend and I have Friday and Monday off it makes the trip so much more wothwhile and doesn't seem like we are always rushing to leave then rushing to get back home!
I am also running a lot of races (already signed up and paid so I cant back out) this summer-fall. Each race is a different distance and it starts out next month with the color run 5k! I have been running a lot for the past few months and I am at 6 miles comfortably without just dying the next day. So I think I will be fine in my races. Now I just have to pray for no injuries. I am prone to ankle injuries (I have had 3 bad ones) either playing tennis or training for a long distance race. After my long run last week, my ankle has been bruised and swollen, but I think with the amount of time I have allowed myself brfore my longest race I will be okay if I use my recovery days. (I am really bad about running on my "days off").
Hope y'all have a wonderful Monday and I think I am going to try and walk around campus to wake myself up!!!
