Summer Schedule

Once again, this will make more sense knowing I wrote this post yesterdy morning! Sorry, I promise I will get better :)

Well it is only day 4 into "summer schedule" at work and I can't tell if I am going to love it or hate it ha! I love the fact that our hours are shortened and we get an extra day a week off, without using our time/vacation. But on the downfall it is so slow. I am the type of person who loves to be busy at all times (well at aleast at work), but I would rather my desk be piled high with stuff to do than nothing to do. It makes the day go by fast and I really just dont like sitting around at work.

I was warned when I took this job that summers are slow, becasue the only thing going on is summer classes and they are far and few between. Our college doesn't offer a lot of them. So literally we worked on getting all caught up and now we are done with everything ha! We get little things here and there to work on but for now its pretty slow. Already today I have read half a book and took multiple walks around campus! I just love this campus, it is so beautiful.. and HUGE! I always like to take walks , not just get out, but so I can become more familar with the campus and know where things are. I feel like I know it pretty well right now, but there is alwasys more to see.

Today the campus is having a faculty/staff appreciation picnic. It is in the stadium and is going to be huge. They have multiple restaurants coming, Catfish Hole, Jimmy Johns, Zaxby's, On the Border.. just to name a few.  I am so excited and I love that the school does stuff like this for the employees. It will be so nice to get out of the office from 10:30-2:30! There is also a big vendor fair on the on the other side of the staduim. So we are going to go have lunch and then walk around and gets tons of free razorback stuff!!

We have had a very relaxed week at home. Mitch worked Wednesday and today and thats all for this week. I love when he is home a lot during the week, becasue he is alwasy so thoughtful and takes care of all the "fun" household duties. Honestly, he probably does a lot more than I do when it comes to laundry, cleaning, etc. It really helps me out throughout the week.

Tonight, Mitch's grandparents are coming into town and we are going to have dinner with them and then we have some packing to do tonight! We are leaving for Little Rock tomorrow! Mitch is leaving early in the morning and I am going to work half a day then leave sometime around noon. I feel like I am taking off a ton this summer (its so nice to have all these days to be able to do that) so I figured I would work at least until 12 and then make the exciting drive to LR.

I have been through LR and there for very short amounts of time. I have never went and stayed for several days and actually got to explore the city, so I am really excited. I know its nothing special, but we are staying Friday-Sunday night at a hotel and Mitch will have a tennis match or two a day, then we can do whatever! I hear they have a nice mall and I have heard a lot about the fun restaurants downtown on the river! I am looking forward to a get-a-way weekend with just Mitch and I!

Hope y'all have a wonderful weekend!
